This week’s post is inspired by being surrounded by fine wine
– on a boat, in the Caribbean! Well, boat is understating it… but the wine
program aboard the Celebrity Reflection cruise ship is truly top notch. This week’s sparkling is coming to you from the
Ensemble Lounge on Deck 5!

Tasting Note:
Nose: This wine has aromas of ripe pear, candied lemon zest
and a slight toastiness.
Palate: The palate follows the nose on this wine, with
bracing and refreshing acidity and integrated bubbles.
Food Match: Best served with citrus ceviche or try it with
Brie or Camembert.
Alcohol:13%
Price: $27.95
This sparkler is in the LCBO and a bit more expensive, but worth it to taste
these elegant bubbles produced where the old world meets the new. Until next
week, happy sipping!
Great blog Gillian and awesome insight to sparkling wines! I love trying new sparkling wines and I think this would be perfect for a nice evening. Thank you for the food suggestions and I definitely plan on trying this out! Perhaps it will make me feel like I'm on a boat as well!
ReplyDeleteLove that you featured a wine that you tasted on your cruise and that we can get at our local LCBOs. Just makes it easier for me to go out and try.
ReplyDeleteDomaine Chandon sounds like the name of my new best friend. It sounds refreshing I would love to give it a try. I like that you also inform us of what to serve it with, citrus ceviche it is!
ReplyDeleteTransports us back to you and Barb in Cellar Masters on the Reflection! I really appreciated your savvy while tasting all the wines! And we know Dick loves Domaine Chandon, of course. Now I need to catch up on your blog. Hope we meet again someday!
